How they invest
Seedcamp's FAQ describes a first-backer role spanning pre-product and pre-revenue companies through post-launch businesses. Pre-seed and seed are the stage labels; the more useful distinction for a founder is how much has already been built and financed. The FAQ says companies that have already raised more than a couple of million dollars are probably outside this initial strategy, with an exception for existing portfolio companies supported through Select.
The usual first-cheque range is $350K–$1.25M. Seedcamp states a preference for leading or co-leading.
The geographic statement covers companies in Europe and Israel, or with a distinctively European angle. London is the office location; an office address is not the geographic eligibility rule. The sector-agnostic approach allows founders to describe a specific technical or commercial opportunity without pretending that every portfolio company belongs to one narrow industry. Later Select activity does not expand the initial-stage mandate shown here.
How to approach Seedcamp
Explain why this is a first-backer opportunity. State what exists today, what has been tested, what remains an idea and how much capital the company has already raised. Connect that snapshot to Seedcamp's pre-product-to-post-launch language instead of relying only on the label 'seed'.
Make the European or Israeli connection concrete. Identify where the company operates and which part of its founding or operating story supports that connection. If the business is elsewhere, explain the distinctively European angle explicitly and treat eligibility as a question to resolve; do not use the London office alone as evidence that a particular market is covered.
Reference a comparable announcement only when it helps explain your company. Topograph on 20 March 2026 is a seed example; Lupin & Holmes on 17 March 2026 illustrates a co-led pre-seed. Describe the relevant stage or financing-role comparison and then the difference. The fact that Seedcamp backed either company does not establish product similarity or remove a possible portfolio conflict.
Show how a usual $350K–$1.25M first cheque would fit the round you are actually raising. Separate your total target, the allocation you are discussing and whether you need a lead or co-lead. Avoid presenting the total amounts in the investment table as Seedcamp cheque sizes, or using Select follow-ons to justify a later-stage first approach.

FAQ
Does Seedcamp lead rounds?
Yes: the FAQ says Seedcamp likes to lead or co-lead. Topograph and Revox are recorded as led rounds, while Lupin & Holmes is a co-led example. State the role you need when approaching the firm.
What is Seedcamp's cheque size?
The usual first cheque is $350K–$1.25M in the FAQ. This is an initial investment range, not the size of an entire fundraising round. No ownership percentage is published in the facts. The separate Select strategy for existing portfolio companies should not be treated as the first-cheque offer for a new founder.
What has Seedcamp invested in recently?
The dated selection includes Topograph on 20 March 2026, Lupin & Holmes on 17 March 2026 and Revox on 15 January 2026. See the table for the stated round and role.
Does Seedcamp invest in Europe and Israel?
Yes. The geographic mandate names Europe and Israel and also allows companies with a distinctively European angle. A founder outside those locations should explain that connection rather than assume a global mandate. The listed London office and the location of individual team members are not substitutes for the fund's stated investment geography.
How do I pitch Seedcamp?
Start with the official team page and Seedcamp's own pitching route. Build the approach around your stage of development, European or Israeli connection and the first-cheque allocation you need. A relevant dated announcement can help frame the conversation, but the useful part is explaining your own opportunity and differences, not merely repeating a portfolio name.
